<p>Her hull was constructed by cold molding strips of Douglas fir, saturated with marine grade epoxy. These strips are laminated over a jig mold with the vessel inverted. Each new layer is placed at a 45 degree offset from the first. The total thickness of SJOSTROM’S hull is five inches.</p>
