The weeks of marine parks closure in Southern Thailand has allowed many tourist destinations and the marine ecosystem to recover. Today, marine park officers can see more dugongs, turtles, and dolphins in the clear waters. A higher number of leatherback sea turtles, which are the world’s largest sea turtles and endangered species, are seen laying eggs on beaches in Phang Nga and Phuket provinces.
